Once Upon a Time

Bear Lake County is divided into 3 districts, each with unique needs. Once upon a time, the people who lived in those districts could only vote for the Commissioner in their district. Then the rules got changed and everyone was able to vote for all candidates regardless of where they were. What this does is dilute the will of the residents in specific districts with outside interests.

Because of the unique needs of each district, I propose we go back to people voting for their own Commissioner and not influencing other districts . An example would be the needs of Paris to Fish Haven are very different than Geneva, Bennington, Georgetown or even Montpelier.
